  11. Usage     :
  12. Double click !Deskeys icon . Deskeys will install 
  13. itself on the iconbar. 
  14. Select over the icon will open the !Deskeys window.
  15. Menu over the icon will open the menu , selecting 
  16. Quit will closedown the task.
  17.  
  18. Operation :
  19. !Deskeys was written to allow a desktop task to act
  20. for the keyboard. Currently this is a complete 
  21. emulation except for one aspect : The use of the Alt
  22. key in conjunction with the numeric keypad to 
  23. produce non-printable ASCII charactures is *not* 
  24. implemented.
  25. Certain keys act differently from their keyboard
  26. counterparts.
  27. The Shift,Ctrl and Alt keys all toggle (like the
  28. CapsLock key) , this allows them to be used in 
  29. conjuction with the other keys.
  30. This is particularly useful in the case of the shift
  31. key as it allows you toggle between moving/copying
  32. files and running apps/opening !app directories.
  33. Currently the moving of files is a bit of a fudge as
  34. it uses the alias command to renmae copy . This 
  35. necessitates having a Dummy file in the directory,
  36. when I discover how do this in a tidier fashion I
  37. will release an upgrade.
  38. I have arranged for the keys that are useful to be 
  39. shown when the task initialises, click on the window
  40. toggle to show the whole keyboard.
  41. Clicking over a key will pass that key to whichever
  42. window has the caret. It will be ignored if no
  43. window has the caret.
  44. Appart from the obvious filer type operations I have
  45. found the app to be very useful at editing !Boot and
  46. !Run files .
